System requirements

Operating System

  1. Windows 10 or 11 64-bit.
  2. There is not yet a native version for Mac, but it is possible to use Nebulb on a Mac through a Windows virtual machine (using a virtualization software such as Parallels Desktop, VMWare...).

Hardware

Processor type:

  1. x64/AMD64 architecture (Intel or AMD 64-bit processors).
  2. ARM64 architecture (Apple M series processors).

Minimum configuration:

  1. CPU: 4-core Intel i5 type processor.
  2. RAM memory: 8 GB
  3. Hard disk:
    1. 3 GB of available space on the installation disk.
    2. 50 GB of available space on the disk where the temporary working folder (the one used by Nebulb during the stacking process) is located.
    3. It is very important that the hard disk where the temporary working folder is located is as fast as possible (both reading and writing), so it is highly recommended to use a SSD or M2 hard disk with the highest possible speed.
  4. Graphics card: any (the standard version of Nebulb uses only the CPU).
  1. CPU: Intel i7 (or higher) type processor with at least 8 cores.
  2. RAM memory: 16 GB for processing images up to 24 Mpx and desirable 32 GB in case of higher resolution images.
  3. Hard disk:
    1. 3 GB of available space on the installation disk.
    2. 200 GB of available space on the disk where the temporary working folder (the one used by Nebulb during the stacking process) is located.
    3. It is very important that the hard disk where the temporary working folder is located is as fast as possible (both reading and writing), so it is highly recommended to use a SSD or M2 hard disk with the highest possible speed.
  4. Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce or Quadro with Cuda and 4 GB of memory (the graphics card is only required for the version of Nebulb that uses the GPU to optimize the star trails stacking process).
